Rami Lawand

Rami is the Head of Communications for Standard Chartered’s Transaction Banking and Financial Markets businesses. Based in Singapore, he is responsible for the strategic positioning of the Bank’s largest corporate and institutional product organizations globally.

Prior to rejoining Standard Chartered in 2019, he worked for BHP Billiton as a Change Communications Advisor in APAC. Before that, Rami held several positions in some of the UAE’s largest traditional regional (Emirates NBD), Islamic (ADIB), and global (Standard Chartered) banks.

Rami is a seasoned professional with more than 20 years of experience advising C-suite executives and supporting organizational change, crisis communications, and business transformation. Throughout his career, he has built communications teams and delivered strategies and tactics aligned with commercial objectives. His expertise spans internal communications, executive communications, and crisis management.

Rami holds a bachelor’s degree in Business Management from the Lebanese American University in Beirut. Originally from Lebanon, he moved to the UAE in 2004, where he lived and worked for 14 years before relocating to Singapore. He is a naturalized Singaporean, married with two children.
